A very small, cast iron box iron with a ring turned wooden handle. This is marked  “CLARK” , on the slider, but the rest of the mark is now worn. The iron dates from c.1870 and is complete with its’ original heating brick which was put into the fire to heat the iron. The handle, which is turned from a dark wood, has suffered from the effects of the heat and the underside is quite worn. Other than this the piece is in very good condition.
